Safe Shelter in Berrien County is offering a new service to domestic abuse victims to help them relocate. It’s teaming up with StorSmart Moving and Storage of Southwest Michigan to provide self-storage and free moving services to survivors. Gil Logan, Co-Owner of StorSmart, says they’re hoping the new service will help to remove another barrier to escape that’s faced by many domestic abuse victims. Through StorSmart’s partnership with Safe Shelter, survivors can get professional movers and also a unit to protect their belongings.
